Mah Jong Solitaire Rules

Mah Jong Solitaire is a tile-matching game. In a standard Mah Jong Solitaire game there are 144 tiles.

The object of the game is to remove all the tiles in pairs from the layout. The tiles to remove must be "free".

A tile is free when:

• It is not covered at all by any other tile;

• There is no tiles touching it in the right or left side. This does not apply to the top or bottom of the tile.

The tiles to remove must be identical, except for the Seasons and the Flowers family. In this case, all the Seasons tiles match one another and all the Flowers tiles match one another.
